A: Rotate the crank handle until the hose guide lines up with the water system outlet, OR manually lift the latch on top of the hose guide, align it with the outlet, and re-lock it in place.

Q: How do I connect the leader hose?
A: Ensure the rubber washer is properly seated on both ends of the leader hose. Connect one end to the in-tube on the exterior of the hose reel, and the other end to your water supply. Do not cross-thread. Use pliers to tighten fully if needed.

Q: How do I attach my garden hose?
A: Verify there is a rubber washer inside each female fitting on the garden hose. Uncoil the hose and insert one end through the hose guide. Screw the female end onto the outlet tube and tighten. Attach a nozzle to the other end, turn on water, and check for leaks.

Q: What if the water inlet falls off during shipping?
A: This can occasionally happen during transport. To reinstall: pull the black plastic part outward, align the four ribs of the water inlet with the grooves inside, press into place, then push the black plastic part inward to lock it.

Q: How do I rewind the hose smoothly?
A: Walk the hose end back toward the reel so the hose forms a U-shape in front of the unit before cranking. This helps the hose wind back evenly without tangling.

Q: Can this be used in freezing temperatures?
A: No. Freezing temperatures can damage the hose, reel, and pipes. Before winter or when storing, disconnect the hose from the spigot and drain all water completely from the hose and reel. Store indoors during colder months.
