Project was very easy. Used a 4x4 post. Dug hole installed post with concrete and covered up. Mounted retractable hose unit and hooked up water. I can pull out 100’ of hose use it and pull on the hose to rewind in seconds I’m done. Love it

My expensive hose real box has been falling apart for a while and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a junky product to replace it. I was sick of constantly unwinding and winding back up a box that you have to fight to get the hose in and out of correctly. Who wants to use a hose for 5 minutes and struggle with the pulling it and putting it back for 10 minutes I found this box and its the perfect solution. It's construction is very sturdy but it's not overly heavy if you need to move it. The hose feels flexible but strong so I expect it to last for years, especially cause it's protected from the sun in the holder. The hose pulls out perfectly smooth and retracting it is automatic, just give it a tug and it starts realing up. Installation is straight forward, the mount has 4 bolts and the real just slides on and off effortlessly. The connections are very good, I don't have water spraying out of the connection at either end. The included sprayer attachment adds a nice value to the package.

Does this retract with water? Or do you have to drain the hose first?
It does retract with water, but it does not retract when the water pressure is high. You can turn the faucet off and open the nozzle to drain it as it retracts.
Is the nozzle replaceable?
Yes. It s a standard hose nozzle and can be replaced. If needed, please click on the link to purchase the original replacement nozzle.
How do I change the hose?
The leader hose can be changed, but the long hose can't.
Is there a big difference in water pressure between 1/2in hose and 5/8in hose?
Because of the diameter, the pressure of the 5/8in hose will be stronger than 1/2in hose. However, the pressure of the 1/2'' is still strong.
